Be ready for the Quota 1 deadline!
If you are applying to CBS in Quota 1, the application deadline is 5 July at 12:00 noon CEST. There are 6 things you need to know when you apply.
1) Do you meet the entry requirements?
To get accepted to CBS via Quota 1, you need to:
- have a qualifying upper secondary exam
- meet the entry requirements for the programme you are applying for
- international applicants also need to have a convertible GPA. This means that your GPA must be convertible to the Dansh upper secondary exam
Please note: CBS receives more applications than there are available study places. This means that you are not guaranteed a place even if you meet the entry requirements.
Are your GPA convertible?
You can check whether your international upper secondary exam is convertible or non-convertible on cbs.dk > Step 1: Entry requirements > Find your country.
Find the list of entry requirements
You can find a list of the entry requirements for our bachelor programmes on cbs.dk > Entry requirements > Specific entry requirements.
2) How are you assessed in Quota 1?
You will be evaluated solely on the grade point average (GPA) of your upper secondary education. We do not know the grade point average for this year's intake before all applications have been processed and answered.
You can see the grade point average from previous years on cbs.dk > Admission statistics.
How to choose the right programme
Your choice of programme plays a key role in shaping your student life at CBS. You will be studying for three years and at times it will be challenging and demanding. It is therefore important that you choose a programme that matches your interests.
Before applying, we recommend that you read our advice on choosing a programme.
3) Apply early - and no later than 5 July at 12:00 noon CEST
We do not accept any applications or documentation after the deadline. Therefore, you need to approve and sign your application on Optagelse.dk before 5 July at 12:00 noon CEST.
Make sure to finish your application well before the deadline. We often see that applicants make more mistakes in their applications the closer they get to the deadline.
4) Apply with MitID
You must apply to CBS through Optagelse.dk. If you have MitID, you must use this when applying – it makes the application process easier for both you and us.
When you apply with MitID:
- You will receive a receipt confirming that you have applied on Optagelse.dk. Keep your email as documentation.
- Your diploma from a Danish upper secondary school will automatically be attached to your application
Please note, if you have a foreign upper secondary exam, you have to upload your diploma to Optagelse.dk. This also applies if you have passed an International Baccalaureate.
Do you not have MitID?
Read more about how to create your application without MitID on cbs.dk > How to apply > Your application.
5) Check that you have uploaded all documents to your application
It is your responsibility to upload everything correctly before the deadline. You will not receive any confirmation that CBS has received your documents. Therefore, it is important that you make sure that all the documents are attached to the right applications. If you can see that you have uploaded and attached your documents, then we can see them too.
Find a list of all the documents you need to upload to your application on cbs.dk > Documentation.
Do you have to retake an exam in August?
If you do not have your diploma before 5 July because you have to retake an exam in August due to illness, read more about what to do on cbs.dk > Documentation > Re-take due to illness.
