“I chose Copenhagen Business School because in Denmark, and Scandinavia in general, there are a lot of leading companies in terms of sustainability. Moreover, in the EU, these companies are also leaders in terms of sustainability regulations, compared to other regions in the world. I now get to experience working in a culture that prioritises sustainability, and the agenda here is relatively advanced.” Nontawach Soonthornsorn

Sustainability and Responsible Management
Sustainability is lived and breathed throughout the culture and implemented through business practices. Companies know that innovation and solutions are the best way to prosper, so team building and creative approaches to problems are paramount. Careers here are as fulfilling as they are engaging.
Sustainability is increasingly important for any organisation, so it's crucial for the next generation of leaders to understand the topic holistically from a managerial perspective. From the very start of the programme, you will dive right in, and as your MBA journey progresses, you will develop a highly relevant and 360 degree skillset.
In Denmark, responsible management is pursued as a core strategy from the board level down, flat organisational structures and equality in male and female leadership foster company cultures built on trust and respect, and public policies support sustainability initiatives from startups to mature organisations.

Explore your leadership potential
Take a journey of personal and professional development and explore what effective leadership really looks like. The Leadership Discovery Process, or LDP for short, runs alongside the other modules you will study throughout your MBA.
As participants graduate the MBA, this is another fulfilling aspect of the programme that they take with them well into their careers and personal lives.
The LDP The Fundamentals
Understanding leadership
Effective leadership demands self-awareness and empathy and the Leadership Discovery Process will help you to develop an in-depth understanding of yourself and your true leadership style.
You will explore topics such as cognitive coaching, the functioning of the brain, team dynamics, situational leadership and human understanding, and you will be guided to solve specific tasks and reflexive exercises both individually and in teams. The LDP is conducted and overseen by an external consulting firm that specialises in leadership training on a global scale and elevates the renowned Scandinavian leadership style.
Action-based learning
The focal point of the LDP is a multi-day leadership simulator, conducted offsite, that will give you the opportunity to approach leadership from a 'learning by doing' perspective. Through a series of outdoor activities you will take turns to perform as a leader, receiving feedback from your peers and coaches on how you perform in subjects ranging from teamwork and communication to interpersonal and leadership skills.
A valuable mentor
Supporting the LDP, our personalised mentorship programme allows you to discuss practical leadership issues with executives working in Scandinavian firms, enabling you to transfer the theory you have learned into practice.
Having access to practitioners who will teach and guide you through real-life management challenges, is an aspect of the programme many MBA students find extremely helpful. The skills you will develop, the advice you will receive, and the insight you will gain will bring value for years to come.

Global Rankings
#8 in the world for ‘International Mobility’
The international mobility rank in the FT Global MBA Ranking is a measure based on alumni citizenship and the locations where they worked before their MBA, on completion and three years after.
"We are thrilled to maintain our position among the world’s top 100 MBA programmes. Our strong rankings in International Mobility and Value for Money reflect our commitment to equipping students with a globally relevant education and a strong return on their investment. The CBS MBA prepares graduates to lead with impact, sustainability, and innovation in an increasingly complex business world.”
- Andreas Rasche, Associate Dean of the Full-Time MBA and Professor of Business in Society at CBS
#30 for 'Value for Money'
Calculated using salary today, course length, tuition and other costs, including income forgone during the MBA - this highlights a strong return on investment for graduates.
#43 in the world for ‘Research Impact'
A defining strength of the CBS MBA is its dedication to research excellence. The programme has consistently ranked highly in the Research category, with faculty actively contributing to leading academic journals. This academic rigour, combined with practical insights, ensures that CBS MBA graduates are well-prepared for leadership roles in a diverse range of industries.
Gender Balance and Diversity
With a focus on gender balance and diversity, CBS is proud to have a faculty where 97% hold doctorates and a board that is 64% female. The programme also fosters a truly international environment, with 98% of students coming from outside Denmark.
"Our ranking highlights CBS as a top choice for ambitious professionals seeking a world-class education in a dynamic and sustainable business environment. Our emphasis on diversity and career progression makes the CBS MBA a transformative experience for future leaders."

The Association of MBA - AMBA
In 2007, CBS became the first university in Denmark to receive the accreditation from the AMBA, underlining its international credibility and status. The number of MBA qualifications available worldwide is now in the thousands, but only a small percentage of these would achieve accreditation if they were submitted to AMBA’s rigorous international criteria. Accreditation by the Association of MBAs identifies programmes as the best there is. In a crowded and complex market, the AMBA accreditation provides a reliable list of meticulously tested programmes and ensures that students' investments are rewarded with the finest business education available.
European Quality Improvement System
CBS has been accredited by EQUIS since 2000. The EQUIS accreditation is awarded to business schools based on general quality, taking into account the business school's level of internationalisation. EQUIS assesses institutions as a whole. It assesses not just degree programmes but all the activities and sub-units of the institution, including research, e-learning units, executive education provision and community outreach.
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, AACSB
In August 2011, CBS was the first school in Scandinavia to receive the AACSB accreditation. The accreditation standards are used as the basis to evaluate a business school’s mission, operations, faculty qualifications and contributions, programmes, and other critical areas. AACSB accreditation ensures students and partners that the business school is providing a top-quality education. It also ensures employers that AACSB-accredited business school graduates are ready to perform on day one. Additionally, AACSB accreditation provides many benefits to the faculty and staff at its accredited schools by attracting higher quality students, providing greater research opportunities, and allowing for global recognition.
The Global Alliance of in Management Education, CEMS
CEMS is a strategic alliance of leading business schools and multinational companies. Its first mission is to set a global standard of excellence for pre-experience Master’s in management. Founded in 1988 in Europe, CEMS provides the global league of leaders on the pre-experience Master’s market and it cannot be equalled in terms of reputation of its members: 28 world-class academic institutions collaborate together with over 70 corporate partners and 4 NGOs to offer international, postgraduate students a unique blend of high quality education and professional experience.
Partnership in International Management, PIM
PIM, Partnership in International Management, is a consortium of leading international business schools, founded in 1973. Each member institution represents the highest degree of excellence in the fields of business administration and management, demonstrates leadership in their geographic region and delivers an MBA or a graduate-equivalent degree in management.

Finding a place to live
CBS Housing
The Copenhagen MBA offers a limited number of student accommodation options through CBS Housing, at Porcelænshaven Residence and Basecamp South. Students who indicate interest in accommodation during enrolment are placed on a waiting list and contacted directly by CBS Housing if a suitable option becomes available. CBS Housing typically contacts students from late June. The earlier you enroll, the better your chances, as capacity is limited.
Facebook and Social Networks
Social media can also be helpful when searching for accommodation. Let your personal network know that you are moving to Copenhagen and are looking for a room or an apartment.
Facebook in particular is a large housing marketplace in Copenhagen. We recommend joining multiple housing groups. Search using keywords such as “accommodation in Copenhagen”, “rooms in Copenhagen”, and Danish terms such as “lejligheder”, “leje”, “værelser”, or “kollektiver” i København.
Private rental
Many of the following websites may charge a nominal fee to contact property owners or access full listing details. Some of the most popular are listed here.
Co-living & Shared Housing
Co-living is a common accommodation option in Copenhagen and is available to MBA students and young professionals. It typically offers furnished accommodation, flexible lease terms, and rent that often includes utilities and internet.
Examples of co-living providers in Copenhagen include:
Residential Rental Companies
The following companies provide professionally managed rental apartments and housing options in Copenhagen. These are typically full apartments and higher-priced accommodation options.
Good to Know About Housing
Securing long-term accommodation in Copenhagen can take a little time, but it offers the chance to explore neighborhoods and find the perfect fit. Many students arrange temporary housing for their first weeks in the city while continuing their search for a permanent option.
When searching for accommodation, always make sure that you are able to register your address at the property. You need a registered address in order to obtain your CPR number (the Danish personal identification number).
Some Danish institutions provide information about finding a house in Copenhagen on their websites. Check for instance the accommodation section of Study in Denmark and the housing section of the City of Copenhagen.
Deposit, housing benefits & furniture
Deposit: It is normal to pay an amount of up to 3 months’ rent as deposit in Copenhagen. Check your room for broken spots on the floor etc. and take pictures. Chances are that you might not get the full deposit back if you do not address those issues upon arrival.
Housing benefits: Once you have found a room or apartment, check if you qualify for housing benefits: Housing benefits (borger.dk).
Furniture: Do not hesitate to take an unfurnished room. Many rooms come without furniture; however, there are cheap options on Facebook marketplace, buying/selling groups on Facebook or www.dba.dk. Also, some people give furniture away for free on Free Your Stuff Copenhagen.
