Intro days in week 35

Are you curious about your study start?

When you begin a master programme, you are no longer all new to the university world. You have already been through the name games during the intro days, you have probably sweated through the exams for your bachelor degree, and you know that the amount of reading can be overwhelming.

But in spite of your experience, we still believe you can benefit from a great intro. Maybe you have studied at another university and are curious about what studying at CBS is like? Or maybe you have already taken your bachelor degree here, but are wondering what is required for a master programme?

No matter what, we will do our best to welcome you properly and prepare you for your time at the master programme when you show up for your study start at CBS.

Mark your calendar for week 35.

All master programmes at CBS are invited to an introductory course that will ensure a great start on your studies. The dates for 2026 will be available soon. Wednesday has a joint program for all new master students, where you will meet students from your own program and across the studies.

The introductory course is not mandatory, but it is a good opportunity to get to know your fellow students and teachers. You will also receive a professional introduction to your programme and will thus be better prepared for when everyday life starts. We therefore recommend that you participate, regardless of whether you are new to CBS or have studied here before.

From 1 July, you can read more and find dates and programme for your introductory course at the student intranet my.cbs.dk.

Note: you may need to register in advance.

The study start test

When you begin at a master programme at CBS, you must pass an academic integrity test. This applies to all new students - regardless of which bachelor programme you have studied. You must take the test in September and can take it again in October.

What is academic integrity?
Academic integrity is a professional quality that you will need throughout your education. It is an important cornerstone of studying at a university. Therefore, it is also important to us that all our students are well-prepared from the start of their studies.

The purpose of the course and exam
The course is about how to work with sources and write an academic paper. The purpose of the course is to ensure that you are equipped to do academic projects at a sufficiently high level without cheating or committing plagiarism.

Other useful things for starting studies

Here, we have gathered other information, you might like to have

Housing

It can be difficult to find a place to live in Copenhagen. Unfortunately, CBS cannot help you find accommodation, but there are several things you can do yourself:

  • Use your network: Maybe you know someone who lives in Copenhagen who can help. If so, try reaching out to your network.
  • Use Facebook: There are many groups where private individuals are looking for tenants for a room or an apartment.
  • Look for student housing: there are many dormitories and housing marked for young people in Copenhagen.
  • Also look outside of Copenhagen: it is often easier to find accommodation a bit outside central Copenhagen. It is easy to get to CBS by public transport from most places - if it is not within cycling distance.

You can find more information and sign up for dormitories, rentals and youth housing in Copenhagen here:

Private rental

There are also a number of private dormitories in Copenhagen. You can find them, for example, by googling: "dormitories Copenhagen" In addition, there are many housing sites on the Internet where you can contact private landlords.

But you need to be extra careful when searching for accommodation, as there are many scammers who, for example, try to rent out rooms or homes that do not exist.

Beware of scammers!

You should always be vigilant when looking for accommodation, as unfortunately there are many scammers who try to rent you a room or accommodation that they do not own or that does not actually exist.

The police have made a number of tips on how you can make your house hunt safer and avoid scams:

  • make sure that the landlord actually owns the property
  • pay to a Danish account - if at all possible
  • always use your common sense
  • never let yourself be pressured by an eager landlord.

You can find more advice on how to avoid housing scams at studyindenmark.dk

Here you can also find information on how to report fraud.

Read more about your rights as a tenant and legal aid here.

Note: the link is to the Municipality of Copenhagen. If you live in another municipality, you can find your local municipality.

Confirmation of enrolment

In order for us to confirm that you are a student, you must have a CBS email address so that we can send it to you securely via email.

If you are new to CBS, you will receive your CBS user profile and CBS email at the beginning of July via the email you have provided in the application portal.

You can get two types of confirmation of enrolment:

1. Verified admission letter:

You can have your admission letter digitally signed as proof that you have been admitted to CBS.

To have your acceptance letter verified, you must send your acceptance letter as a pdf file to confirmations@cbs.dk. We will then sign the letter and send it back to you as a pdf file to your CBS email.

2. Confirmation of enrolment :

Confirmation of enrolment is proof that you are enrolled at CBS. You cannot receive a confirmation of enrolment  if you are only conditionally admitted.

To receive a confirmation of enrolment, you must send your admission letter to confirmations@cbs.dk. We will then create a confirmation of enrolment  and send it to you as a PDF file to your CBS email.

Read more about confirmation of enrolment  at my.cbs.dk > IT and Campus > Guide to the online student service > Confirmation of enrolment (requires CBS login).

How CBS handles offensive behavior

At CBS, we have a shared responsibility for a good study environment.

Both employees and students at CBS must treat each other considerately and properly, and we do not accept offensive behavior.

Offensive behavior is the collective term for bullying, sexual harassment, discrimination, violence or threats. We all have a responsibility to speak out against offensive behavior and to help other students and staff who experience offensive behavior.

If you experience abusive behavior or want to help someone who does, you can get help at my.cbs.dk (require CBS login).
