My journey with development studies and cross-disciplinary research

Peter Wad

By July 1st, Associate Professor Peter Wad, ICM, will retire. Peter has been employed by CBS for more than 25 years and has been key to the development of the CBS business and development studies research agenda as well as the master programme in Business and Development Studies (BaDS).  Peter has in particular worked with industrial development and industrial relations in an Asian context and has, among other things, written extensively about the Asian automotive industries. Students will in particular know Peter as a dedicated lecturer on industrialization strategy and on cross disciplinary research methods, and as a cherished supervisor.

Abstract

To celebrate Peter’s contribution to CBS and his transition to a position as associate professor emeritus, Peter has agreed to provide a brief reflection over his long standing engagement with business and development studies. The speech is entitled 'My journey with development studies and cross-disciplinary research' and will provide a personal account of the evolution and future development of the business and development studies field.
