Otto Mønsted Visiting Professor at MSC

Mary Uhl-Bien

During the summer, Professor Mary Uhl-Bien is joining MSC as an Otto Mønsted Visiting Professor. 

 

Mary Uhl-Bien is a chaired professor of leadership at Neeley School of Business at Texan Christian University, and an extremely influential scholar in contemporary leadership studies.

 

Her research has appeared in top international journals including The Academy of Management Journal, The Journal of Applied Psychology, The Journal of Management, Organizational Dynamics, and The Leadership Quarterly.

 

 

Professor Uhl-Bien co-founded the Network of Leadership Scholars in the Academy of Management, and has served as the chair of the Academy’s Organizational Behavior Division.

Collaboration on leadership projects

 

Over the last several years, Mary Uhl-Bien has been working closely with MSC colleagues to develop new ideas about leadership in private, public, and plural sector contexts, traveling with colleagues to Geneva, Brussels, South Africa, Florida, several Academy of Management conferences, and finally coming here for an extended stay in Copenhagen.

 

While here, Mary Uhl-Bien will be working with Associate Professor Eric Guthey and PhD Fellow Edmonia Baker on several projects connected to leadership, complexity, and collaboration, and contributing more generally to discussions about leadership within the department.
