What motivates you most in your role as Regional Manager?

"The combination of people and performance. I am shaped by team sports and think in terms of collective achievements rather than individual results. My success is directly linked to the success of others, which is why relationships, responsibility, and trust are completely central to me. At the same time, I am motivated by the analytical part of the role – working with data, KPIs, and structures, and translating analyses into action within the business. It is the field of tension between people and data that drives me."

When is your work most challenging?

"It is most challenging during periods of major change. Shifts in strategy, structure, and culture affect people directly, and it requires both clarity and empathy to stand in the midst of it. As a link between head office and stores, I must ensure that decisions both make sense on paper and work in practice. This places heavy demands on communication, prioritisation, and anchoring."

When do you feel most in doubt in your work?

"I experience doubt most during change processes where the results cannot yet be seen in the numbers. When data and reality do not point in the same direction, or when the impact only comes later, it requires the judgment to stay the course. The balance between patience, decisiveness, and adjustment is something I work with constantly."

“Analytical metrics can set a direction, but it is always people who create the results. If relationships are not sufficiently strong, performance will never be sustainable.” Nicklas Krause

Which choice has had the greatest significance for your career – and why?

"Entering management with a strong responsibility for people has had the greatest significance. I view employees as whole people and know that my decisions affect their everyday lives directly. I believe in creating strong teams where all roles have value, and where you succeed together. This approach has built engagement, trust, and relationships that have endured over time."

What do you do differently today compared to before you started at CBS?

"I work more structuredly and analytically today. I actively use data in decisions, have a better overview of stakeholders, risks, and impacts, and am more aware of what actually moves things in the organisation. At the same time, I have gained a stronger understanding of the market and organisational dynamics, which helps me prioritise more sharply."

What would you like to learn more about – and what professional dreams do you have?

"I am in a good place and now have the peace to reflect on the next step. Looking ahead, I would like to develop further at the strategic and business level and work closer with executive management. I am motivated by roles where execution, direction, and organisational leadership meet. I do not chase titles, but opportunities that make sense."

What has your work taught you about yourself – one good thing and one bad thing?

"I have learned how much I can move when I take responsibility and dare to stand at the forefront. At the same time, I have also learned that it comes at a price. When you lead from the front, you encounter resistance, and I have had to learn to balance my high level of ambition with sustainability – both professionally and personally."

What do you hope your working life has given you in 10 years' time – besides a title and salary?

"A working life with meaning, responsibility, and continuous development. I hope to be in a place where it is still motivating to get up and go to work, and where the tasks and the community are the driving force. A working life that also provides perspective – both professionally and humanly."
