Were you not accepted into CBS?

Again this year, CBS has received more applications than we have places available on our master programmes. As a result, we have had to reject many applicants. If you were not accepted into CBS, we can help you understand the answer to your application and give you an overview of what your options are now.

You may just have opened the answer to your application and read that, unfortunately, you have not been accepted into CBS. We understand if you are disappointed that you have not been offered a study place on the master programme you applied for.

As in previous years, CBS has received far more applications than there are available study places. As a result, we have unfortunately had to reject many applicants.

Why were you not accepted into CBS?

This is one of the first questions many rejected applicants ask themselves. If you were not accepted, it is probably because:

  • there are more qualified applicants than available study places
  • you do not meet the academic entry requirements for the programme
  • you did not submit sufficient documentation in time

You can read more about the reasons for rejection and what you can do next on cbs.dk > Anser to your application

No available places

Unfortunately, you cannot apply for admission to any available study places, as CBS does not have any places available this year.

No late application round in August

As we do not have any available study places, CBS will not offer a late application round in August.

You cannot exchange your study place

You cannot exchange study places with another student who, for example, declines an offer of admission to a master programme at CBS. We have assessed all applications in relation to the entire group of applicants.

What's next?

It is frustrating to be rejected and not get in to the programme you applied for. If you have a plan B, it might help you see other possibilities.

Consider whether you want to:

  • apply to another university this year: Check the websites of other universities to see if they have a late application round.
  • apply to CBS again next year: First of all you have to make sure you fulfil the entry requirements. Check the entry requirements for the programmes. Please note, that fulfililng the entry requirements are no guarantee for getting accepted to one of our master programmes. Read more and find out if you can improve your chances at Improving your chances

You are also welcome to send us an email and ask why you were not admitted. However, in many cases it is difficult to give an exact answer, as your application is benchmarked against the other applications, and it is impossible to predict how the applications will look next year.

Other options for studying at CBS

CBS offers many different programmes and courses. This means, you also have other options for studying at CBS.

This does not improve your chances of admission next year

Please note that our other programmes will not improve your chances of getting accepted to one of our master programmes later on. Instead, you should see the other programmes as an alternative to studying a master programme. In most cases, you will also need to pay tuition fee.

At CBS you can also study:
