Sage Navigator is a digital research tool from Sage Publishing that helps you navigate key theories, concepts and research areas within the social sciences, business and management.
The platform brings together literature overviews written by experts, offering insight into:
- how a field has developed
- the most influential scholars
- recommended reading.
Sage presents core literature across 300 subjects and from more than 1000 publishers in the form of references, often with links to full text as well as publication year.

Sage Navigator acts as a bridge between reference works and research articles and helps you build a solid theoretical foundation for further academic work. Each subject includes a chronological visualisation of publications, making it easy to follow developments within a field.

Help using Sage Navigator
Limit to Major Works
When you search in Sage Navigator and want to find literature overviews, limit your results to the Major Works type in the left-hand menu.
Each literature overview includes three tabs:
- Summary
- Overview
- Key Readings
