Primary research areas

Entrepreneurial finance

My research explores how startups acquire financial resources under uncertainty, focusing on the behavior of venture capitalists, corporate venture investors, and crowdfunding participants. I study how information asymmetries, disclosure laws, and investor psychology shape investment decisions and entrepreneurial outcomes.

Labour Mobility and Human Capital

I investigate how collaboration, innovation strategies, and individual abilities influence employee mobility and firm performance.

Entrepreneurship

My work examines the drivers of entrepreneurial entry, performance, and resilience. I explore how cognitive ability, gender dynamics, and social exposure shape entrepreneurial behavior, as well as how institutional and contextual factors influence access to finance and venture growth.

Innovation Strategy and Technology Disclosure

Diversity and Inclusion in Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Understanding How Ideas, People, and Capital Connect

I study how people, ideas, and capital come together to create innovation and Entrepreneurship. My research looks at how entrepreneurs find the right investors, how finance shapes new ventures, and how talent moves across firms to spread new ideas.

I want to understand what helps entrepreneurs succeed – and what holds them back. My work helps investors, policymakers, and founders build fairer, smarter, and more inclusive markets for innovation and entrepreneurship.

I also explore how gender, diversity, and skills shape access to opportunities in entrepreneurship and work life.

I actively support the entrepreneurship and innovation research community through reviewing high quality journals, research collaborations, and mentoring young scholars.
