Welcome to CBS
Welcome to all new master students at CBS. Here is what you need to know right now.
Today you will know whether you have been accepted to a master programme at CBS. Unfortunately, CBS has had to reject many applicants, as we receive far more applications than we offer study places.
If you have been rejected, we recommend that you read the article ”Didn't get accepted into CBS?”
Find the answer in the Application Portal
You will receive the answer to your application in the Application Portal during the day on 10 June. You will receive an email when you can log in and find it.
CBS Admissions uploads responses to applications continuously. You will therefore not necessarily receive an answer to all your applications at the same time, and your friends could receive an answer before you do.
As soon as all answers have been uploaded, we will inform you via cbs.dk > Answer to your application.
If you have not received any answers by the end of 10 June, you are welcome to send an email to: graduateadmission@cbs.dk.
Didn't get accepted to your first priority?
If you did not receive an offer of admission for your first priority, you cannot exchange your study place with another student who, for example, has declined a study place to another master programme at CBS.
All study places are personal and are allocated based on each applicant's qualifications and priorities in the Application Portal.
Remember to accept your study place
If you are one of the lucky applicants who have been accepted to CBS, you must remember to accept the offer for a study place no later than 15 June 23.59 CET.
You can accept or decline your study place in the Application Portal.
Read more about how to accept your study place on cbs.dk > Answer to your application
Confirmation on your study place
You will receive a confirmation in the Application Portal, once you have accepted the study place. You find the confirmation under messages.
Conditionally accepted – what's next?
Please make a note of whether your admission is full or conditional.
If you are conditionally accepted e.g., if you still need to pass a course in your bachelor programme, you must meet these requirements no later than 31 August 2026. If you fail to do so, your admission could be annulled.
Please make sure that you read and fully understand how and when to fulfil the conditions stated in your letter.

Access to CBS' digital platforms
You need a CBS user profiler to access all digital systems and platforms at CBS. Your CBS user profile is strictly personal, and you should never share this information with others.
Your user profile consists of a username and a password. Your user profile will give you access to CBS´s digital platforms, for example your CBS mail, your timetable and my.cbs.dk - your student intranet:
- New student at CBS: at the beginning of July, you will receive an email with information about your CBS profile and how to activate it. The email will be sent to the email address you have stated in the Application Portal.
- Current student at CBS: Use your current username and password.
- Student at CBS with-in the last 6 months: If you have taken single courses, Summer University courses, diploma or executive programmes at CBS within the last 6 months, your CBS username and password are still active and you should use these.
Forgot your username and password?
If you cannot remember your login credentials, please contact the IT Support on help@student.cbs.dk
Participate in the intro days 26-28 August
All study programmes at CBS invite you to intro days to give you a good start on your studies. This year, it will be Wednesday, 26 August - Friday, 28 August.
Wednesday has a joint program for all new master students, where you will meet students from your own programme and across the studies. All programmes also have an exciting separate program on Thursday, 27 August and/or Friday, 28 August so mark your calendars now.
The introductory activities are not mandatory, but it is a good opportunity to get to know your fellow students and lecturers. You will also receive a thorough introduction to the study programme and will thus be better prepared for when your studies start. We therefore highly recommend that you participate, regardless of whether you are new to CBS or have studied here before.
No later than 15 July, you can find the programme for the intro days on studystart-master.cbs.dk
Educational Grants (SU)
Whether you are continuing your bachelor degree’s natural progression or are coming from another university, you have to apply for education grants (SU).
You apply for SU at MinSU on www.su.dk
When can you apply?
If you begin a master programme immediately after the completion of your bachelor studies, you can apply for SU from 12 June, however, no sooner than two days after you accept your study place at CBS.
Processing time can be up to 4 weeks, and your SU will not be disbursed until the middle of July or beginning of August.
If you do not begin a master programme immediately after the completion of your bachelor studies, you can apply for SU from September and apply one month before you are eligible to receive SU. That means the first day you can apply for SU is 1 August.
Educational Grant (SU) - international student?
If you are a foreign citizen, there are certain conditions you have to meet. You must also follow a special application process before you can receive any SU.
Read more about SU on www.su.dk
Please note that processing time may take longer during summer months due to a large number of applications.
