AESTHETICS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP Seminar Series

Creating Spaces

Wednesday, October 6, 2010 - 15:00 to 17:00

Research Seminar organized by the Danish Design School (DKDS) and MPP.

Martin Gylling & Tau Ulv Lenskjold: Creating Spaces.

The seminar is arranged in collaboration between Tau Ulv Lenskjold form DKDS and Martin Gylling from LPF. The title “creating spaces” denotes a shared interest in both of our PhD-projects with space (in conjunction with notions such as place, site, context and framing) as both a receptacle (or rather a multiplicity of interconnected or conflicting receptacles) for change-making. And the act of space-making as intrinsic to inventive processes themselves.

We will begin the seminar with a presentation of the contexts of these spaces and try to address the following question: What characterize some of these spaces and how are they linked together as a concept of a creating space? We hope that this introduction will lead to an interesting and mutually engaging discussion of the potential of creating spaces as a theoretical and empirical framing of the intersection between management and design.
