Exploring how reporting drives sustainability

My research focuses on how companies account for and report on sustainability. I study the systems and processes that make external reporting credible and transparent, with particular attention to, e.g., ESG practices, greenhouse gas (scope 3) reporting, stakeholder engagement, and materiality assessments.

By bridging accounting and sustainability, my work helps companies respond to societal demands for accountability while also creating value through responsible business practices. This contributes to the green transition by supporting organizations in aligning reporting with both regulatory requirements and societal expectations.

In addition to research, I teach financial accounting. I also contribute to academic citizenship by supervising master theses on ESG- and sustainability reporting, helping to prepare the next generation of professionals to navigate these challenges.
