What is Statista?

Statista is an international statistics platform that brings together data, charts and analyses from more than 22,000 sources. The database covers a wide range of topics from economy, markets and consumer trends to technology, media, tourism and sustainability.

All data are presented in a user-friendly and visual format, which makes it easy to find and use key figures for assignments and presentations.

Statista collects data from public sources such as the World Bank, IMF and US Census Bureau, as well as private sources including industry analyses and press releases. Each statistic includes source information, date and methodological details, and subject tags make it easy to find related data and the original data source.

The platform covers the entire world and is available in English, German, Spanish and French. The German version is particularly useful for data about Germany and the German market.

The Global Consumer Survey module also offers analyses of consumer behaviour and media use based on data from more than 120,000 respondents in 28 countries.
