Share prices linked with news
Factiva has a unique search function that shows a graph of a listed company’s share price and links it to the articles published on a specific date.
This means you can use rises and falls in the share price to find news from a wide range of sources. Factiva shows the articles published one week before and one week after the selected date. You can then choose a specific date yourself.
It is also possible to compare the share price with another company or an index, such as OMX, and see how the company performs relative to the index.
How to do it:
- Click the Companies / Markets tab
- Enter the company name in the search field and select it from the list
- Click the small share price graph
You will be taken to a page where the graph is larger and where you can click the movements in the graph to generate a news search
