Facts
Easy access to images and illustrations
Colourbox is an extensive image database that includes images, graphics and videos. The library has purchased a school licence that allows lecturers and students at CBS to download up to 30 images per month for study-related and teaching purposes.
What is meant by study-related and teaching use?
Study-related use covers situations where students include images, vectors or videos in assignments related to their programme. Teaching use covers situations where lecturers use images, vectors or videos in lectures, presentations, course material and similar activities.
If an assignment, presentation or article is sold or published outside the educational institution, it no longer counts as study-related or teaching use. In that case, the user must buy the rights to the image, vector or video in the same way as any other commercial user
(from Colourbox FAQ)
Employees other than lecturers
Other employees may also use images for work-related purposes. However, SLK and similar functions are subject to specific rules regarding the use of images for marketing and publication. If in doubt, please contact Lotte Risbæk Thomsen
Your first time using Colourbox
To download images, you need to create a Colourbox account.
You must use the “education key”, which is available on my.cbs.dk and CBSshare.
Once you have created an account using the key, you can log in via www.colourbox.dk
Stock vs. editorial use
Your searches automatically include only stock images. These are the images you are allowed to crop and edit. If you find images marked “Editorial use only”, please note that they may be used solely for news media and must not be altered.
