What is CEPR?

The Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) is a pan-European research organisation focusing on European economics, while always keeping an eye on global developments.

CEPR publishes more than 1,000 Discussion Papers every year, giving researchers a platform to share their results, so they can be reviewed, discussed, and further developed within the research community. The archive already contains more than 20,000 papers and also provides access to academic journals and books. It is a goldmine of insights for anyone who wants to understand both the broad developments and the finer details in economic research.

Alongside the papers you will find a wealth of online talks, videos and podcasts exploring current topics such as competition policy, migration, tax policy, climate change or artificial intelligence.

You get a continuous source of independent research and analysis on European and international economics with CEPR, always viewed from a pan-European perspective.

Interested in economic history?

CEPR offers a strong selection of content that provides a perspective on how earlier economic developments shape the present.

When is CEPR useful?

CEPR covers a wide range of economic research and can be used in many contexts:

  • When you focus on European or international economics
  • When you want to follow current economic topics
  • When you want to practise reading research literature, as it includes pre-publications that give you insight into how research is presented and discussed before being published in journals
  • When you are looking for inspiration for choosing a topic for assignments
  • When you write assignments or theses and want solid literature reviews and analyses
  • When you work with economic history
