Who's In Control? Cybersecurity, Digital Supply Chains, and AI

How vulnerable is your business to cyberattacks via its suppliers, and what can you do about it?

Jan Lemnitzser explains how small and medium-sized enterprises can manage cyber risks in the supply chain using simple tools, and how they can navigate safely in a new reality shaped by AI-driven threats.

About the talk

The cyber threat from cybercriminals and state hackers is rising but as large companies improve their defences the focus turns towards their smaller suppliers.

This is why recent EU legislation has made it compulsory to manage supply chain cyber risk professionally. But many smaller companies struggle with these requirements, so Jan Lemnitzser, tenure track assistant professor at the Department of Digitalisation, and his team have designed the simple SUCCESS tool that allows companies without cyber expertise or budget to take control of their supply chain risk.

The second part of the talk will look at the introduction of AI agents: now that we are seeing new cyberattacks using or targeting AI agents every day, how can companies run them securely and avoid the ‘lethal trifecta of AI’?

This event is part of CBS Library and Academic Services' celebration of CBS research, and it contributes to the CBS research dissemination efforts.
