Primary research areas
Corporate Governance in the Nordic Countries
I study how ownership, boards and top management incentives are used as corporate governance mechanisms in the Nordic countries. These mechanisms are used to align the interest between core stakeholder groups, such as shareholders, employees, local community etc.
Corporate Governance in Emerging Markets
I study how corporate governance in emerging markets, such as Africa, Indonesia and Carribean countries, impact firm performance and business decisions.
Align interests between owners and other stakeholders
My research helps:
- Firms to identify the best owner(s)
- Build better boards
- Design and implement the appropriate top management incentives
