The NeEDS project, led at Copenhagen Business School by Professor Dolores Romero Morales, has been selected as a success story for the 30th anniversary of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). The project is featured in a special digital publication celebrating MSCA-funded research and its contribution to scientific progress, innovation and society.

NeEDS, a Horizon 2020 MSCA RISE project, addresses an increasingly important challenge: making Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models more transparent and explainable. Through mathematical modelling and advanced optimisation methods, the project has worked on Data Science tools aimed at making complex algorithms more interpretable, trustworthy and aligned with European values.

The project has brought together academia, industry and the public sector across Europe, the United States and Latin America, strengthening expertise in Data Science and Explainable AI through international and intersectoral collaboration.

The NeEDS story is now part of the MSCA 30th Anniversary Digital Publication, alongside more than 100 stories showcasing research across disciplines and countries.
