Welcome to all new bachelor students at CBS

On Tuesday 28 July, CBS will send admission letters to everyone who has been accepted to a bachelor programme at CBS.

Answer to your application

CBS will send all admission letters as encrypted emails. We send out the admission letters starting at midnight and expect all applicants have received their answer within 3-4 hours.

In the admission letter from CBS, you will be informed about which programme you have been accepted into with study start 1 September 2026.

One offer of admission

You will only receive one offer for a study place, even if you have applied for several programmes. The distribution of study places is done collectively for all educations in Denmark, and therefore you only receive an admission letter from the institution where you are offered a study place.

If you are not offered a study place, you will receive an answer from the Coordinated Admission (KOT) on 28 July letting you know that you did not get in. You will receive an answer via e-Boks or e-mail.

No available study places at CBS

Because we receive far more applicants than we have study places, there are no available study places at CBS. Therefore, CBS does not offer standby places or a waiting list.

Before you accept your study place

Before you accept your study place, consider whether you feel ready to start studying this year or whether you might be better off taking a(nother) sabbatical year.

Experience from previous years have shown that students that have thought this through will make an easier transition into university life.

Accept your study place no later than 1 august

If you are one of the lucky applicants who have been accepted into CBS, you must remember to accept the offer for a study place no later than 1 August at 23.59. If you fail to accept the offer before the deadline, you will lose your study place.

To accept the offer you must:

Click on the link in your admission letter
Log on with the username and password stated in your admission letter
Follow the instructions

Participate in the intro week 24 - 28 August

All bachelor programmes start with an intro week on 24 August - 28 August, which is the week before the semester begins.

We recommend that you prioritise participating throughout in the entire intro week. Here you get an introduction to your new programme and you meet your fellow students for the first time. Our experience shows that students who participate in the introduction week get off to a better study start, and that it proofs very helpful for your studies at CBS.

Mentor and student life

By the end of September you will get a mentor. You mentor is typically a 2nd or 3rd year student on a bachelor programme at CBS. Your mentor will help you to get off to a good start on your programme and in your student life.

Access to CBS’ digital platforms

Visit your student intranet my.cbs.dk

My.cbs.dk is your student intranet. You will be able to log on to my.cbs.dk no later than 48 hours after you have accepted your offer.

On my.cbs.dk, you will find information about your programme and life as a student at CBS.
You also get easy access to CBS’ other IT platforms that you will need as a student, including:

your timetable
your student email
Student Self-Service
Canvas, your learning platform, where you communicate with your lecturer and fellow students

Remember to apply for SU

When and how to apply for SU depends on whether you are a Danish or an international student.

SU for Danish students

You have been accepted to CBS with a study start on 1 September. You can therefore receive SU from 1 September.

You cannot receive SU or a youth travel card during the intro week in August.

You can apply for SU from 1 August – however, no earlier than 48 hours after you have accepted your study place.

SU for international students

If you are a foreign citizen, there are certain conditions you have to meet. You must also follow a special application process before you can receive any SU.
