New publication: Organizing exclusion: a qualitative study of gendered recruitment practices in Nordic banking
Postdoc Unnar Theodorsson has a new publication in the Journal of Organizational Ethnography.
The paper explores why gender inequalities can persist in recruitment processes even in countries known for strong gender equality policies. Focusing on specialist hiring in Nordic banks, the study shows how informal assessments of candidate “fit,” “stability,” and “risk” can shape hiring decisions in ways that disadvantage women.
