What are Commission Reports?

Commission Reports consist of reports prepared by government-appointed commissions and committees as background and analytical material prior to legislation or political decisions.

Since 1951, all numbered reports have been scanned and made available online through the State and University Library/The Royal Danish Library.

The collection will not be updated with new content after 2024.

When are Commission Reports useful?

  • When analysing legislative processes, the reports document the considerations and alternatives evaluated by a commission before a bill is presented.
  • When writing assignments that use primary sources to support political and legal arguments.
  • When seeking historical perspectives on political decisions, reforms and government initiatives.
