Primary research areas

How we speak and make sense of emerging technologies

I study how discourse (the ways we talk about and interpret technologies) shapes how new fields emerge and organize. By examining how people from different backgrounds make sense of novel technologies, I explore how collective understanding and organizational practices co-evolve with technological innovation.

Quantum Computing as a Sociotechnical Phenomenon

Here I examine quantum computing not only as a technical breakthrough but as a social and organizational process. My work explores how organizations interpret and engage with quantum technologies, and how they navigate uncertainty and opportunity in the absence of established use cases or infrastructures.

Quantum Logic and Organizational Sensemaking

I investigate how quantum computing introduces new organizing logics that differ from the digital logic underpinning today’s technologies. From a sociotechnical perspective, I explore what “quantum logic” means for how we understand, design, and structure technological systems and organizational processes.

Unfolding the Meanings of Our Quantum World

I study how emerging technologies—particularly quantum computing—reshape how organizations understand and innovate. My research explores how we make sense of the quantum era through discourse and practice, and how new technological logics challenge today’s digital foundations.

By examining the narratives surrounding quantum computing, I show how scientists, policymakers, and organizations co-create its meaning and future. This helps organizations anticipate change and engage more critically with innovation.

I am an independent Ph.D. student at the Department of Digitalization, Copenhagen Business School, with an M.S. in Marketing from the University of Chile. Before academia, I worked in the tech industry as a solution engineer and innovation leader at Oracle. My goal is to foster dialogue between technology and society to navigate technological transformation with curiosity and responsibility.
