Jon Sigurd Wegener is a cognitive neuroscienct and holds a a Cand.scient degree in molecular biology. He works at the intersection of neuroeconomics, decision-making, consumer behaviour, and artificial intelligence. He is currently affiliated with Copenhagen Business School as an external lecturer. 

His teaching and research interests include neuroeconomics, behavioural economics, consumer psychology, investment behaviour, attention, emotion, and decision processes in human and AI-supported contexts. He has extensive experience with university teaching, public dissemination, and interdisciplinary communication.
