The Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure (CSEI) conducts research in tomorrow’s energy infrastructure from an economic policy point of view to ensure a successful transition towards a new sustainable European Energy Infrastructure based on volatile and largely renewable energy sources.

About us
CSEI is a European research centre based at the Department of Economics at Copenhagen Business School. The centre provides expertise, new knowledge, and education on energy infrastructure in close collaboration with stakeholders from the energy sector, the European Commission, and society at large.
CSEI is directly supported by the European Commission (DG Energy) and contributes to the discussions at the Commission’s annual Copenhagen Energy Infrastructure Forum.
The centre analyses the consequences of digitalisation in the energy sector and its impact on energy infrastructure. It also investigates efficient regional decision-making procedures, explores ways to promote public acceptance of energy infrastructure projects, and examines the financial challenges these projects face.
CSEI is located at the Department of Economics.
