I in­vest­ig­ate the chal­lenges and op­por­tun­it­ies of the green trans­ition, primar­ily in the en­ergy sec­tor but also in­clud­ing urb­an mo­bil­ity, cir­cu­lar eco­nomy, and busi­ness mod­els for sus­tain­able pro­duc­tion.

My primary impact is through teaching.  The green transition, particularly in the energy sector, presents an enormous challenge for society while also creating opportunities for private enterprise.  I strive to both make our students aware of this and to give them a range of frameworks and theories to seize these opportunities.  My academic background is in engineering and systems science, and since the green transition is fundamentally a systemic challenge, these theories and perspectives are necessary for effective public policy design as well as private business strategy.
