DIAGNOSIS: ARTIST. Art in the Age of Advanced Medicine. Modern Visual Arts and Medical Science – Body, Mind, Creativity

Examining interchanges between medicine and the visual arts from the mid-19th century to the present, it is an attempt at charting how medical sciences and nomenclatures have affected aesthetics, art criticism, and the artistic work process during the past 150 years. It is a narrative of cultural norms, contemporary art, and the market.

Modern Art Meets New Money. Danish Art Patrons and Collectors on a Transformative Market, 1900-1935

An analysis of the relations between private and public stakeholders in collecting and displaying modern art in Denmark between c. 1900 and 1935, outlining the long-term value formation effects which the interaction of interests generated.

Impressionism, Modernism, and the Art Market

A historical and art historical study of the makings of the present-day art market, with special emphasis on exchanges between collectors, galleries, museums and the media. It is intended as a contribution to establish a (hitherto absent) phenomenology of artisthood.
