On August 24, 2026, the Council for Return Expectations and Pension Research Centre (PeRCent) will host a joint conference on Climate Risk and Expected Returns at Scandic Falkoner Hotel in Copenhagen, DK.

The conference brings together leading researchers and practitioners to discuss how climate risks can be quantified and integrated into long-horizon return expectations and risk analyses.

Climate change is increasingly central to the way pension funds, central banks, and financial institutions assess long-term risks, economic growth, and future returns. How should climate risks be quantified? How can they be integrated into risk models and long-horizon return expectations? And what do the latest insights from economics, finance, and climate science imply for investors and policymakers?

Confirmed speakers include:
Rasmus Bessing, PFA
Björn Griesbach, Allianz Investment Management
John Hassler, Stockholm University
Diego Känzig, Northwestern University
Adrian Lema, Danish Meteorological Institute
Johannes Stroebel, NYU Stern School of Business
Lasse Heje Pedersen, Copenhagen Business School

The conference is organized by Jesper Rangvid, CBS, PeRCent and Council for Return Expectations and Torben M. Andersen, Aarhus University and University and Council for Return Expectations.

Register now and join us for a timely discussion on climate risk, financial markets, and long-term expected returns.
