Primary research areas
Self-managing organizations and radical decentralization
I conduct research on my core academic interest: self-managing organizations. My PhD examined self-managing organizations in the public sector. I am currently working on a postdoctoral project that explores self-management in a private company, where formal managerial titles and hierarchical structures have been replaced by horizontal coordination mechanisms, granting employees a high degree of decision-making authority.
Researcher in self-managing organizations
I place strong emphasis on bringing my research into practice and ensuring it creates real-world impact. I collaborate closely with organizations to turn insights from self-management into actionable frameworks that support organizational development. At the same time, these engagements feed back into my research, ensuring it remains empirically grounded and practically relevant.

Podcast
I have created a podcast about self-managing organizations called Medledelse. In the podcast, I interview people working in and with self-managing organizations. The first season features conversations with people from Clever, Børns Vilkår, Regionshospitalet Horsens, and MGS Design & Development. The podcast is developed in collaboration with Michael Pedersen (CBS), Hegle Hvid (RUC), and the Master of Public Governance and Master of Business Development programs at Copenhagen Business School.
