My research explores how supply chains can integrate the principles of the circular economy and social sustainability while remaining economically viable in a turbulent geopolitical context. Pursuing sustainability and circularity in the manufacturing industry or agri-food supply chains is easier said than done, as it involves complex dynamics among employees, managers, and supply chain actors such as buyers and suppliers, as well as institutions. 

My curiosity drives me to investigate such inter-relational mechanisms through a qualitative, interpretive research approach, engaging with companies and individuals involved in transforming supply chains into resilient, sustainable socio-ecological systems.

I am currently collaborating with colleagues in the international academic community on research projects focusing on the key areas of circularity and resilience in procurement, food surplus redistribution by food banks in the agri-food supply chain, and the adoption of circularity in the manufacturing sector.
