About
Primary research areas
Identify ways to persevere under extreme uncertainty and many unknowns.
My primary research focus is on strategic renewal and adaptability as a reaction to the dynamic complex global business conditions that call for effective leadership of strategic response capabilities and resilient adaptation in the face of emergent risks in unstable evolving environments with many abrupt disruptions.
This constitutes one of the major societal problems of our time that challenges how human activities are structured and arguably presents existential issues for humanity.
Contemporary businesses and the societies they operate in are increasingly exposed to unpredicted developments, e.g., derivative effects of pandemic, military conflict, and geopolitical tension as well as extreme weather caused by global warming, with a potential for extreme outcomes that challenge international business.
We need solutions to deal with these global developments that call for collaborative efforts as the consequences are born by private and public institutions alike and extend beyond national, regional, and continental borders.
