My research examines resource allocation decisions for R&D investments, the novelty of technological inventions, and innovations emerging at the intersection of digital and green technologies.

Technological upgrading of emerging economies

This research investigates technological transformation at the meso and industry levels within emerging economies, including China, South Africa, and Eastern Europe.

Diffusion of digital and green technologies

This research focuses on how technologies spread both across and within countries, with particular attention to AI-related and green hydrogen technologies.

As Professor of International Business at CBS, I address challenges related to breakthrough innovation and technological progress in an international context.

Emerging economies accelerate technological upgrading through value chain participation and strategic partnerships with multinational enterprises
