Data-driven insights on climate and households

My research explores how climate risks and household financial decisions shape markets and society. I study household short- and long-term responses following a shock to energy prices, highlighting the role of household heterogeneity, such as income, for a successful adaptation to the green transition. Extending this work, I seek to analyze firm-level electricity consumption to understand how businesses respond to changing energy incentives.  

I also examine the effects of climate policy on financial markets, with a focus on the European Emissions Trading System. By comparing EU and US firms within the same industries, I investigate how carbon pricing affects profitability and emission growth - key questions for the design of sustainable finance.

Climate Finance

Investigates the impact of climate risks, physical and transition, on for example financial markets, asset values, and households.

Household Finance

Studies financial decision-making and its implications for households, with a focus on habit formation and inequality.

Big Data

Applies large-scale high-frequency data (~500 million observations), econometric methods such as difference-in-differences and instrumental variables, and continuous-time models like Black-Scholes to study financial markets.
