Primary research areas
Pension Economics
This research examines the effects of pension reforms on the public system, combining empirical analysis with structural modeling to provide insights for further policy design.
Education
This research area focuses on evaluating the fairness of access to higher education, with particular attention to how high school grade inflation shapes entry opportunities and equity.
Securing adequate pensions for all retirees
Individuals deserve a dignified income in retirement. Yet demographic ageing pressures governments to either extend working lives or reduce benefits. My research examines the consequences of such reforms: whether individuals are truly capable of working to later ages, and whether their total pension wealth ensures an adequate income in retirement. Since governments, pension funds, and individuals all play a role in these choices, society must come together to secure better outcomes for everyone.
