Understanding how geography shapes jobs, inequality, and opportunities

Local Labor Markets 

My research explores how geography shapes labor markets and careers. I examine why unemployment, productivity, and wages vary across regions, and how workers and firms adapt through their location and job choices. 

Mobility 

A central focus of my work is how mobility—both across regions and between jobs—shapes wage growth and career opportunities. This helps explain why some groups and places benefit more than others and highlights the barriers that limit equal access to opportunities. 

Spatial Inequality 

My research provides insight into why economic opportunities are unevenly distributed across space. By identifying the mechanisms behind these disparities, it contributes to policy discussions on how to reduce regional gaps in employment, productivity, and wages.
