AI learning and AI literacy

I study how generative AI can support student learning. Despite risks such as cheating and learning deficits, I examine how GenAI and AI-based music can be designed to engage students and enhance learning.
In a more technical stream, I analyse how student and teacher performance can be measured using diverse data sources, drawing on insights from digital learning during COVID-19.

Data Studies – Data Diplomacy and Citizen Data Science

Why is so much negotiation embedded in data science work, and how does it shape outcomes? Using data diplomacy as a lens, I examine the often-invisible negotiations that take place in the backstage of data science.
In related work, I study how citizen-produced COVID-19 data visualisations shaped Danish public debate and policy, conceptualising citizen data science as an extended peer community where non-experts enrich data interpretation and democratic processes.

Artificial compositions

How does AI influence arts and how does arts influence AI? Together with Ensemble Storstrøm, we are experimenting with Ravel and artificial intelligence in music compositions.
