During this term you will gain a solid foundation in basic economic and accounting principles and reflect on how you can use your newfound knowledge to solve managerial problems, efficiently use resources and inform key decisions within your organisation.

You will learn to lead an organisation's digitalisation activities into value-enhancing strategies, exploring the best ways to extract value from the plethora of data available in a environment that is uncertain and ever-changing. 

The global study trip will take place in Shanghai, to get true insights into where the digital world in being transformed at pace. Finally you discuss how corporations can design and implement sustainability and responsible practices that fit their specific needs.

During this term, we will travel to Shanghai. Here we'll learn about Digitalisation, a place where the digital world is being transformed at pace. 

This six-month term develops your knowledge and analytical skills cementing your understanding of how to create growth.

We will start by exploring contemporary marketing techniques, enabling you to better understand how to analyse consumer behaviour and thereby generate higher demand for your products or adapt to market requests. We will also learn how to identify and work in the landscape of your competitors and hereby identify opportunities and threats within your industry.

In Economics and Financial Finance, you will learn how the corporation finances its activities in the most efficient way. This involves discussions of the amount of debt and equity a firm should have, and what are the pros and cons of the different forms of capital. You will also analyse how to determine the value of a corporation.

In the Supply Chain Management course, you will discuss how to organise the transportation and warehousing of your supplies, how to determine the supplies you need to hold on to stock, and how to achieve these goals in a dependable, sustainable, and cost-effective way.

Finally, we will tackle sustainable leadership topics, which will allow you to reflect on your own personal leadership challenges.

During this term, we will travel to Chicago, for a module hosted by Kellogg School of Management, a world leader in marketing. 

The final core module encourages you to use your newly acquired MBA tools to develop a strategy for an organisation; it is about consolidating and building on the knowledge you have acquired, giving you the skills to become a valued member of your organisation’s strategic leadership team.

You will gain a solid foundation in Corporate Finance, learning to analyse and evaluate investment opportunities, balance risk and return, and apply different sources of financing - among other essential skills for addressing the financial challenges facing modern firms. 

Finally, you apply different concepts to analyse the competitive positioning of an organisation and to implement a coherent strategic orientation withing a business. 

Courses: Corporate Finance, Leading Change, Strategic Management, Corporate Entrepreneurship

During this term, we will travel to Mumbai, the hub of innovation and entrepreneurship. 

After completing the core programme, you choose one Concentration for a focused deep dive. While all four areas are introduced in the mandatory curriculul, this two-month specialisation allows you to align your EMBA with your caree ambitions and your organisations' needs.

Do you have what we are looking for?

To join our leading Executive MBA programme, you will need the following:

• A bachelor degree or similar qualification from a university or business school* (An undergraduate degree or a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration – HD)
• A minimum of three years of managerial experience in projects, budgets, processes, or people over a continuous period
• Support from your organisation (financial support is encouraged but not obligatory)
• English language proficiency
• Open-mindedness, with a global perspective and commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to contribute in the classroom

*Applicants who have not gained a bachelor degree are expected to possess professional knowledge of business economics, macroeconomics, and statistics at a level equivalent to part 1 of the HD programme.

Completed application form, including: 

• 2 recommendation letters (ideally one of these will be from your immediate line manager or equivalent)
• 6 short essay questions
• Copy of your diploma/academic certification and academic transcripts

• Signed copy of Terms & Conditions letter

*Upon submission of your application, the CBS EMBA Admission Board will assess your application and decide whether to invite you for the admission test and interview. This decision will usually be made within 1-2 weeks after application submission.

Admissions test: 

We recommend applicants to take the CBS internal admission test, which can be done either in person on campus, or online, at no cost to the applicant. This test has been designed specifically to reflect the requirements to succeed academically in an EMBA programme.

We do accept GMAT or the Executive Assessment as alternatives to the CBS internal admission test. GMAT or Executive Assessment scores are valid for up to 5 years from the original test date. Feel free to contact us to see whether your score meets our requirements.

Admissions interview: 

This can be conducted either in person on CBS campus, or online, depending on the applicant’s preference and location. The interview will be 1 hour, conducted by a member of the CBS EMBA Admissions Board.

The CBS Executive Certificates cost:

• Executive Certificate – General Management (September start): DKK 110,000*

• Executive Certificate – Exploring Business Potentials (January start): DKK 130,000*

• Executive Certificate – Leading Strategic Execution (August start): DKK 135,000*

• Concentration of own choice (February-March) + Integrated Strategy Project (Thesis) (January + April-October): DKK 110,000*

*Fees exclude hotel accommodation in general and all flight tickets. For non-EU/EØS citizens an additional 17.200 DKK is charged (levied by the Danish government)

Possibility: Financing your Executive Certificates or EMBA through gross salary deductions
If employed in Denmark already, you might be able to finance your studies through salary deductions at source (known as gross pay schemes, salary restructuring, flexible pay package, etc.) The cost of tuition will initially be paid by your employer and then come out of your gross salary before taxes.
