Research Assistant to research cluster on geopolitics at CBS
Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a Research Assistant with a focus on supporting our research cluster in geopolitics, geoeconomics and business cluster at the Department of Business Humanities and Law. The research assistant position is a 1 year position. The position is 22.5 hours per week.The expected starting date is Nov 1, 2026.
Department of Business Humanities and Law explores how people, organisations, institutions, and societies shape business. Its core research themes include entrepreneurship, business ethics, leadership, governance, culture, learning, business history, and business law from commercial and societal perspectives. The department comprises three academic units and nine research groups.
The position includes:
- Administrative tasks and responsibilities such as reporting to the Cluster Lead about ongoing activities/ events/ workshops
- Administrative and project coordination tasks, including reporting on activities, events and workshops.
- Basic project management tasks: preparing meeting materials, taking minutes and scheduling meetings
- Supporting grant applications and project reporting.
- Organizing workshops, conferences and stakeholder activities.
The position is part of the geopolitics, geoeconomics and business cluster within the broader Geopolitics and Business Security Initiative. This cluster examines how geopolitical and geoeconomic developments shape the framework conditions for businesses. Involving areas such as international politics, international relations, trade, strategy, and the risks and opportunities that emerge in an increasingly complex world.
Qualifications
The candidate should possess a Master degree, or equivalent qualifications and have a professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- A natural interest, drive and curiosity for research in the geopolitical field
- A structured and organized approach
- Competence in social media management and communication
- Experience in project management, coordination and relevant tools
- Experience with stakeholder engagement
- Experience with project reporting is a plus.
- Language proficiency in German is an advantage but not a necessity

Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
The position is part-time, corresponding to 22.5 hours per week.

Recruitment procedure
The Recruitment Committee expects to shortlist minimum two applicants; when possible five or more applicants will be shortlisted. The shortlisted applicants will be assessed by the Assessment Committee. All applicants will be notified of their status in the recruitment process shortly after the application deadline.
Applicants selected for assessment will be notified about the composition of the Assessment Committee and later in the process about the result of the assessment.
Once the recruitment process is completed each applicant will be notified of the outcome of their application.
