CBS Maritime welcomes Thordis Katla Bjartmarz
CBS Maritime is delighted to welcome Thordis Katla Bjartmarz, who joined the Department of Strategy and Innovation in August 2026 as a Postdoctoral Fellow affiliated with CBS Maritime.
Thordis joins the BluePortLab project, led at CBS by Professor Michele Acciaro. Her research will focus on marine biodiversity, multi-use spatial concepts, and regenerative port business models, contributing to BluePortLab’s broader ambition to explore how European ports can develop into more sustainable, low-carbon energy hubs.
BluePortLab is funded through the EU’s Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP) and brings together leading European universities and ports, including DTU, the University of Genoa, Chalmers University of Technology, Kühne Logistics University, and the ports of Aalborg and Ravenna.
Thordis holds a PhD in Management and Sustainability and an MSc in Strategy, Organization and Leadership (SOL) from CBS, as well as a BSc in Business Administration from Reykjavik University.
