From voluntary action to increased regulation
For years, sustainability has been high on both corporate and political agendas. During this period, voluntary corporate initiatives have increasingly been accompanied by more extensive regulation and reporting requirements. At the same time, political support for sustainability is being challenged in several parts of the world, raising new questions about the role of regulation in driving sustainable business practices.
