Leadership and the importance of relations.

Leadership is never an individual endeavor. The quality of leadership is highly correlated with the quality of the relations developed between management and employees.

Complexity management

Complexity in organization and the way it challenges management is not a new or upcoming phenomena. There are though fundamental issues to be dealt with as complexity is a system characteristic that influences the roles and relations between leaders and employees.

Personal leadership

To develop one’s personal leadership, it is always relevant to analyze and understand the importance of history, context and relations characteristic of the present organizational set up.

My research and teaching over the last decades have been founded on a deep interest in leadership and organization development. There is a growing need to offer concepts, tools and perspectives on future challenges.

I am a professional psychologist (From the university of Copenhagen) with years of organizational experience having been a professor at the Department of Organization. Over the years I have made my contribution to the field of leadership- and organization development in both research, executive teaching and consultancy. 

I strongly believe in the power of relations in leadership. 

I support programs that teach executives how to develop their relational capacity 

I help organizations in all sectors of society to enhance collective development 

I offer personal counseling and project supervision to developmental processes 

I write books that challenge conventional thinking and give management inspiration 

Primary employment

Teaching

As professor emeritus I am presently affiliated to CBS as an external associate processer. This give med the opportunity to teach at the executive Master level where I currently work with the program Master of Management development.
Outside CBS I teach a number of courses in programs offered by the CBS Executive Foundation. Also I have a broad portfolio of assignments in my capacity of being a private consultant: with programs, development projects, change management processes and network activities.
