I study quality in health care and media markets

I study the functioning of important markets that are under pressure in today’s world. My primary focus is health care markets, where I investigate how quality of care is provided. I apply novel methods from empirical industrial organization to understand incentives and measure this hard-to-measure dimension.

I also study quality in media markets, specifically how bargaining between big tech and content providers can shape the quality of the news available to the public.
