New analysis on transparency in EU public procurement

08/31/2015

Transparency notices (VEAT-notices) are being widely used in Denmark and the UK while less so in Sweden. CBS researchers Lisbeth la Cour and Grith Skovgaard Ølykke have done a thorough analysis of the use of the notices with colleague Anders Milhøj. Transparency notices were introduced in 2009 as a new tool promoting transparency in EU public procurement. It aims to secure more transparency when it comes to awarding a contract supposedly not covered by EU public procurement directives. The analysis covers 2010-2013, and was recently published in Public Procurement Law Review.
