Digital Government

How should governments govern in the digital age?
Digital technologies are transforming how governments make decisions, deliver public services, and interact with citizens. At Digital Government, we study how digitalisation can strengthen public value while safeguarding democratic principles, accountability, and trust.

About Digital Government

What We Study

Digital Government examines how public organisations design, implement, and govern digital technologies that reshape administrative processes, public service delivery, and citizen–state interactions.

Why It Matters

The theme explores the institutional, organisational, and societal dynamics that influence digital transformation across the public sector. We investigate how digital infrastructures, platforms, data, and artificial intelligence create new opportunities while raising important questions about governance, accountability, transparency, and democratic participation.

Our Mission

Our research bridges technology and public management to generate knowledge that supports responsible digital transformation.
