Primary research areas

Entrepreneurship Theory

My research explores the meaning, context, and mechanisms underlying entrepreneurial action. I am particularly interested in the relationship between entrepreneurs and ownership, and how this nexus informs our understanding of entrepreneurship at large.

Firm Ownership and Governance

I study the determinants of firm emergence, control, and governance. As such, I am mostly interested in the processes leading to the creation and development of entrepreneurial firms, startups among them.

Who will own the next unicorn?

I am a Ph.D. Fellow at the Department of Strategy and Innovation, with an interest and experience in entrepreneurship, firm governance, and startup development. After a B.A. in Business Management, I pursued a specialization in international business at the master's level while venturing into legal and strategic management as the co-founder of a cleantech startup.

My Ph.D. project focuses on the relationship between ownership and entrepreneurship, by providing a comprehensive framework for research on entrepreneurial ownership and investigating ownership as a determinant of entrepreneurial performance.

Beyond my research, I am a passionate student of economic history, legal theory, and the history of entrepreneurship and economic development.

I am a member of the Academy of Management, as well as the Entrepreneurial Judgment Society.
