My research: Public authority in the digital age

With the ongoing digital transformation of public administration around the globe, public authority is increasingly exercised digitally. My research centers on the many faces of “digital public authority”, and how it affects public management, organizational practices and compliance with norms and rules of good administration. It is – among other issues – about algorithms, big data and AI as well as the principle of proportionality, equal access and rights of complaint. The ambition is to understand and support how (public) managers in Denmark and internationally can reap the benefits and prevent the risks of technology use both within and beyond their organisations.
