About Us

The Digital Markets Competition Forum is an initiative to enhance the dissemination of Strategy and Innovation research and its practical relevance in the digital economy. 

Led by Professor (with special responsibilities) Carmelo Cennamo, the forum fosters a progressive debate on the role of digital platforms in the economy and the new competitive forces shaping digital markets.

Background 

The DMC Forum aims to bridge academic research and the practice of management in and of digital markets. 

The forum aims to promote the dissemination of management research on digital platforms, ecosystems, competition, and innovation in digital markets.  

The initiative also aims to reach out to policymakers, firms, and stakeholders at large to discuss opportunities for innovation and value creation, as well as the challenges associated with digital platforms and digital markets, including implications for the regulatory framework.

Mis­sion

The mission of the forum is to bring together different perspectives to discuss opportunities and challenges in digital markets, with particular focus on the current regulatory debate. 

The forum functions as an event series that invites academics, platform leaders, policymakers, and digital market participants to share their views and advance the public discussion on innovation, value creation, and change. 

The forum aims to identify and frame emerging challenges and opportunities in the digital economy. 

The forum also contributes ideas on management practices and policy solutions that balance innovation, value creation, and competition with consumer protection in digital markets.
