The se­mi­nar will have pre­sen­ters wor­king at the in­ter­section of eco­no­mic so­cio­lo­gy and ur­ban et­h­no­grap­hy ba­sed in Ar­gen­ti­na and Bra­zil. Ari­el Wil­kis (UN­SAM – Bu­enos Ai­res) will spe­ak about his fort­hco­m­ing book How Fi­nan­ce Sha­pe De­mo­cra­cy: Hou­se­hold debt as po­li­ti­cal and moral test in Ar­gen­ti­na and Gu­sta­vo Pri­e­to (Fe­de­ral Uni­ver­si­ty of Sao Paulo) and Elisa Ver­di (Fe­de­ral Uni­ver­si­ty of Sao Paulo) will pre­sent their work in pro­g­ress “Cri­mi­nal Ur­ba­niza­tion: Land, Hou­sing and Eve­ry­day Life in Bra­zil”.
