Dolores Romero Morales gets Danish government grant for data network

CBS Department of Economics Professor Dolores Romero Morales has received a grant of 50,000 DKK from the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation for "Network of European Data Scientists - NeEDS". NeEDS expands across seven EU countries and consists of seven academic beneficiaries, one non-academic beneficiary, and thirteen non-academic partner organizations and companies from various industry ectors, of diverse size and organizational structures. Academics and professionals with strong expertise from three disciplines (Visualization, Network Science and High Performance Optimization), join efforts to develop mathematical optimization models and high performance algorithms to address complex problems arising in Data Science, with a particular emphasis on Visualization. With this composition and expertise, NeEDS is in a unique position to raise excellence and structure research and doctoral training, required not only in academia, but also in industry and in public organizations, to lead the advancement of Data Science in Europe.
