Big Data by Security

CBS Economics Department Professor Peter Bogetoft has been involved in a new interesting project - Big Data by Security - financed by The Danish Industry Foundation under the overall project management by Associate Professor Kurt Nielsen at University of Copenhagen. Big Data by Security aims at handling confidentiality related to the management of Big Data. The purpose is to solve the challenges a company has in terms of not wanting or being allowed to give a third party access to confidential data. The project takes its starting point in a cryptography technology called Secure Multiparty Computation (SMC). Professor Bogetofts contribution is on confidential benchmarking and business applications of secure computing.
